Organic Blue Scotch Kale

This is organic blue scotch kale from co-operative organic farms outside of Chiang Mai. We get bi-weekly deliveries to keep our supply fresh. Our 200g bag is a good size for a large salad or tossed into a green smoothie. This variety of kale, blue scotch, has blue-green leaves which are finely curled. It's an extremely hardy plant; one of the best frost-resistant kales (yup, nothing to worry about in sunny Bangkok). Vegans and omnivores agree that everyone can add more dark leafy greens to their diet. Rhonda Patrick, PhD, reports on kale: "In 2015 a double-blind, placebo-controlled study confirmed kale contains high amounts of lutein & zeaxanthin, which increases neural processing speed & efficiency in people.
