A great turkey sandwich is a hall-of-fame lunch, and we've always been frustrated by the mass market, highly processed version of sliced turkey you'll find in the supermarket. It just doesn't taste like turkey should - lacking much flavor and with a weird texture. Maybe that's because of the modified cornstarch, cultured dextrose, carrageenan, and sodium phosphates they jam into it 🤔 To fix this, we looked at making a sliced turkey product with our local producer of free-range turkeys, but the cost of raising turkeys in Thailand is simply too high to make it work for a sliced product to be affordable. Fortunately, our friends down under produce a lot more high-quality, pastured turkeys - so we asked one of Australia's best-known artisan butchers, Gamze Smokehouse, if we could bring over some of theirs 🇦🇺 Like us, they value real food - this is pasture-raised turkey from Duetcher's Turkey Farm, smoked and sliced. No funky additives, just great turkey 🦃 Sliced turkey is lean, high-protein, and delicious - the stuff sandwich dreams are made of, or equally good just by itself as a quick snack.
