Potatoes are usually excluded for people on the autoimmune protocol because they are categorized in the nightshade family, and although sweet potatoes is hailed as a great alternative to potato they are.. well.. sweet and not savoury. Taro makes an excellent savory potato substitute that actually remind you of eating potatoes. Our Taro Mash has earthy savoury tones, similar to potato but has slight sweetness (but not as much as sweet potato) which works great with the pistachio topping. This dish works great when served with meaty and fish dishes, especially with Cod or Beef. Ingredients: Taro, Coconut Milk, Dried Cranberries, Pistachios, Fleur de Sel (evaporated natural sea salt).
