We asked our friends at Courageous Kitchen to share this product with us. Made from carefully sourced non-GMO soybean from Northern Thailand, tempeh is left to ferment for at least 3 days. It is this fermentation process that makes the soybeans easily digestible and significantly lowers the amount of "anti-nutrients" such as phytic acid (decreases the absorption of iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium), and phytoestrogen (disrupts the body's hormonal balance.) The result is a dense, soybean packed patty that can be sliced and cooked whichever way you like. Try deep frying with your favorite dip or marinating slices for bursts flavors.
