That’s why they make their fries the same way they’ve been doing them for 40 years: With the best quality NZ Agria potatoes and beef tallow from their neighboring farms. That’s it. Did you know McDonalds used to make their famous fries in beef tallow, before switching over to seed oils in the 1990s? Unfortunately, just like McDonalds switched over to non-food ingredients to save a buck, it’s virtually impossible to find French fries for home consumption that are made exclusively with beef tallow and no seed oils or other low-quality additives. That’s why we were so thrilled to discover Makikihi, and now to be able to share them with our tribe. This is how fries should be - simple, made from the best ingredients, and delicious. Enjoy! Cooking instructions: No need to defrost - cook these fries directly from frozen. Oven Bake Preheat oven to 230ºC. Place frozen chips on an oven tray in a single layer. This will ensure maximum crunch. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until crunchy and golden. Air fryer Preheat to 200-220ºC. Place frozen chips on an oven tray in a single layer. This will ensure maximum crunch. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until crunchy and golden. Deep Fry Preheat deep fryer to 180º C. Fry chips for 3-3½ minutes or until crisp and golden. Shake basket well, drain and serve. Grill Preheat grill to medium-high. Place frozen chips on an oven tray. Place under the grill and cook until crunchy and golden, turning occasionally.
