Gokou 100% Matcha (Certified JAS Organic) Grade: Ceremonial Origin: Shizuoka, Japan Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest grade of matcha that you can get. It can only be made with young tea leaves harvested on the first harvest, this one in particular was also milled with a stonemill instead of machine, making it extra fine and smooth. Although popular for its more ceremonial and professional use, it's becoming more popular at home use for matcha enthusiasts for its versatility and depth of flavor. It also has a noticeably deeper shade of green compared to the other two grades of matcha due to its exceptionally high chlorophyll content and also have the highest amount of L-theanine. Ceremonial Gokou is perfect for having with milk or as clear matcha.
