Paleo Erik's notes Colour: Bright deep garnet. Aromas: Savoury ripe dark and red cherry, brambly fruits with a hint of smoky oak. Palate: Full-bodied wine with round, mouth-filling flavours of plum, brambly fruit and dark cherry. The oak integrates nicely with the fruit and combines well with the silky and linear tannin structure. Suggested Foods Venison, duck, game and oily fish such as tuna and salmon. Tender, rare lamb and earthy wild mushrooms. Sommelier's Comments 92 point Bob Campbell Fleshy pinot noir with good weight and ripe plum, dark berry and smoky oak flavours. The wine has a pleasing texture and a lengthy finish. Accessible now but with some cellaring potential 91 point James Suckling Quite a bold, rich and concentrated style of Marlborough pinot that has a rich, darker, cherry-focused nose. The palate is full of flavor and nicely formed tannins that are smooth and fleshy. Drink now. Wine Profile Grapes: Pinot Noir Ageing: In French oak barriques for 10 months. Residual Sugar less than 1 gram/litre pH 3.55 Total Acidity: 5.3g/liter
