Meet our sustainably wild-caught shrimps from the Andaman ocean. When the weather permits and the tide is high, our fisherman takes his long-tail boat out just a few meters from shore, sets up a net, and waits patiently for 2-3 hours. No trawling, no farming, no antibiotics, just fresh daily catch. Wild Banana Prawns (กุ้งแชบ๊วย) is mild in flavor, sweet, and semi-firm. In comparison to Tiger prawn, Banana prawn has thinner shell, les. We love cooking them shelled-on to extra sweetness. Excellent when lightly fried with garlic and chili, in a cold seafood platter, or go fancy with surf and turf! Good to note: Our shrimps are packed in water before freezing to preserve the maximum level of quality to freshly caught shrimps. (packing directly into vacuum bag can cause freezer burn) To prep: defrost overnight in the fridge, or place in water bath for 30 mins. 5-6 count per pack, frozen, shell and head on. Feeds one hungry person!
