Meet our sustainably wild tiger prawns from the Andaman ocean. When the weather permits and the tide is high, our fisherman takes his long-tail boat out just a few meters from shore, set up a net, and wait patiently for 2-3 hours. No trawling, no farming, no antibiotics, just fresh daily catch of wild tiger prawns. Wild Tiger prawns (กุ้งลายเสือ) got its name from their tiger-like strips on their shells. They are know for its extra firm texture, and slightly sweet in taste. When cooked, the shells give out a dark orange color, almost similar to the color of lobster shells. Excellent in fajita and taco. Simply coat them in your favorite spice (we like Cajun) then pan seared, served with a slice of fresh tangy lime. Good to note: Our wild tiger prawns are packed in water before freezing to preserve the maximum level of quality to freshly caught shrimps. (packing directly into vacuum bag can cause freezer burn) To prep: defrost overnight in the fridge, or place in water bath for 30 mins. 8-10 count per pack, frozen, shells and heads on.
