Say konichiwa to our latest import: 100% organic Japanese noodles from Hakubaku, one of Japan's leading noodle producers π―π΅ Six great options for any occasion that calls for noodles π
Why did we choose to import Hakubaku for our noodle lineup?
Family-owned Hakubaku have been making organic noodles the traditional way for generations. They know that the best noodles - both in terms of taste and nutrition - are made with the best wheat, and the best wheat comes from the healthiest soils π½
That's why in the 1990s they made a huge investment to move their production to the small town of Ballarat in southern Australia - in the heart of the Australian wheat belt where the climate is fantastic for growing wheat: That's what Hakubaku's happy, organic wheat fields look like in Victoria π³πΏ
While not usually as heavily sprayed as some other crops, many wheat farmers still treat their fields with synthetic herbicides like Glyphosate before planting or just prior to harvest. This is detrimental to soil biodiversity...and not something you want in your bowl of noodles!
But not Hakubaku - they know that healthy soil means great quality, nutrient-dense noodles (and a healthy business) for a long time to come. Our kind of producer β€οΈ
And most importantly - the taste speaks for itself!
Try any of the six and we think you'll agree:
- - Ramen: Grab our sliced roast pork loin, scallion and ginger broth, and a boiled egg, and make yourself an upgraded version of the comfort food classic π
Β - - Soba: Made with organic buckwheat which lends a slightly nutty flavor. Often served both hot and cold.
Β - - Udon: Thick and chewy, udon is another comfort food staple in Japanese cuisine.
Β - - Somen: Thinner, white noodles, typically served cold - great for summers in Bangkok! Also nice in salads with a light dressing.
Β - - Cha Soba: These soba noodles are made with green tea, which lends brings a new dimension of flavor. A rare find, served on special occasions, and often served cold.
Β - - Yakisoba: Thinner noodles, great for stir frying, commonly found in Japanese street food dishes.
So. Many. Possibilities. π©π»βπ³
Perhaps the best part about having some great organic noodles in the pantry is that they're fantastic for putting together quick, healthy, and delicious meals.
